Lovely rustic public onsen (about ¥1000) at the end of the Eizan line, Kurama Station. Free shuttle meets every train at the station, 5 min. Or walk 2km uphill. Lovely onsen, with natural views of Cherry Trees, and Maple Trees that can enjoyed year round. Eat at the Ryokan next door. ¥1800 for Tempura and Sashimi Teishoku. Drink some sake after a hot bath. Then take the Eizan train back to Kyoto (35min)
